The threat of Phylloxera infestation to our Vineyards are very real and at its current rate of spread, we, like the greater Yarra Valley, will soon be classified as a Phylloxera Infested Zone (FIZ). We ALL need to act NOW and have measures in place THIS COMING 2019 VINTAGE, to adequately control its spread into the Nillumbik sector. It is the responsibility of all growers to conform and act as one to achieve the desired outcome and it is our duty to our fellow growers and wineries to do all that is possible in understanding the Phylloxera louse and to instigate control measures.
We invite ALL growers and vineyard managers to attend this major workshop.
Please find attached a flyer re Phylloxera prepared by Mike Jansz (Naked Range Winery) and a flyer about the workshop.
**Please spread the word about the workshop to any folk who own or work in a vineyard and need to know about this important workshop to protect their vineyard**
